Sri Lanka has about 200 MW untapped hydro resource which is technically and financially feasible to implement for the right investor.

Projects in other countries
- Muvumbe power plant in Uganda, operated by Vidullanka PLC supplies 31.42 GWh of annual energy. (The project was constructed and managed under the IFC standards and obtained the GETFiT grant administered by KFW bank of Germany for the positive social and ecological impact it has created in the region)
- Mahoma Small Hydro Power Project Uganda was commissioned in October 2018 with the capacity of 3MW by Wind Force PLC.
- Kyambura Small Hydro Power Plant in Uganda was commissioned in July 2019 with a combined installed capacity of 7.6 MW and is managed by Wind Force PLC.
- Yandohun Micro Hydropower Project, Liberia,60 kW hydro project with HT/ LT distribution network, Commissioned In March 2013, and is managed by Hydro Power International
- Rupingazi Small Hydro Electric Power Project, located public of Kenya with the capacity of 1.8 MW is managed by Hydro Power International Pvt. Ltd
- Siti 1, Uganda with the capacity of 5.60MW , Nyamagasani 2, Uganda with the capacity of 6.0, Mukungwa, Ruwanda, with the capacity of 3.60, MW and Gura, Kenya, with the capacity of 6.20 MW and are managed by VS Hydro (Private) Limited
